We had a wonderful week with my parents and with my oldest brother and his wife. Though my dad's Dementia/Alzheimer's is getting worse there is still a lot of laughter and love.
My mom is doing a great job in caring for dad and hopes to be able to continue to do so for a while, even though it can be very stressful and tiring.
Making decisions like when and where to place a loved one in an assisted living center or skilled nursing facility is very difficult. It involves all aspects of ones life: physical, mental, emotional, and financial.
My parents have been very fortunate because they have a loving caring family and an excellent net work of friends, most within their neighborhood and Church.
